Champion Ballroom Academy, owned by Ms. Mary Murphy, caters to the Southern California dance community.

For your dance pleasure we offer a comfortable dance atmosphere with a high quality sound system - big band-like ballroom dance music, a variety of tasty refreshments, another excellent Dr. DJ Jack ballroom dance playlist, and all complimented by the spacious sprung***** wood dance floor and comfortable seating arrangements. Party kicks off at 4:00pm

Dr. DJ Jack's "playlists to dance for" include: waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango, Viennese waltz, rumba, cha-cha, NC2, samba, merengue, east coast swing, west coast swing, hustle, jitterbug, salsa, ... Each song is vetted, and if necessary 'doctored', for song length, clarity of rhythm, dance tempo, and more..

***** A sprung floor reduces impact on ankles, knees, hips, etc..., hence, less pain and more gain. It is ideal for ballroom dancing and conveniently located for the greater San Diego dancers. Come and enjoy dancing with us in this friendly ballroom dance atmosphere. For further information about the new Champion dance studio, see championballroom.com
